Good Food Box

Good Food Box helper

Fresh fruits and vegetables are collected from local wholesalers and local growers and distributed each month through FoodShare, a national program. Anyone in the area may place an order for a large box ($15) by calling the church office during the first week of the month.

Delivery is made on the fourth Tuesday of the month, when volunteers pack the food during the morning and enjoy the provided lunch. Customers pick up their box between noon and 2:00 p.m. Any unclaimed boxes are donated to the Women's Centre or G & B House.

Raising the Roof

The people at Central Westside actively support Toque Tuesday, the sale of woolen toques, part of Raising the Roof, a program that works for awareness and education on homelessness issues across Canada.

To date, more than one million dollars has been raised in support of the fight against homelessness.
